Lawrence has in excess of forty years of general, civil engineering experience, two and half of which were spent in the contracting field and the balance in the consulting field.
He has specific experience in the areas of project management, the preparation of feasibilities / business plans, the investigation / design / documentation and contract administration of a broad range of civil engineering projects in the industrial / commercial / institutional and municipal environments.
He has expertise regarding the design of roads including pavement design and the rehabilitation thereof, building services, building works and small structures, earthworks including earth rafts and mass gravity walls, stormwater networks and management plans, water networks including small pump stations, reservoirs and water treatment plants, sewerage design including sewer pump stations and small-scale sewage treatment technologies as well as institutional and planning support services.
